44CON 2019 Assistance Programme

Last year we launched an Assistance programme with 8 sponsored tickets. This year, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, there are 13 assistance tickets up for grabs. These include full access to 44CON, 2 nights accommodation and some added extras thrown in too.

The 2019 Assistance sponsors include:

• Google, sponsoring six tickets
• Microsoft, sponsoring three tickets
• Wire Security bvba, sponsoring two tickets
• Steelcon and @mintynet each sponsoring one ticket

Who can apply?

Whether you’re a final year student or have been searching for the right security role for a while, whether you’re changing careers or returning from a break,  you’ve come to the right place.

The Assistance programme is open to applications from those meeting all three of the following criteria.

So if you are:

1. Facing financial constraints that would make attending 44CON prohibitively expensive
2. Not yet in, but ready and actively looking to move into cybersecurity roles and
3. Based in the UK but facing more than 2 hours travel to London by train

We will accept application forms until midnight (BST) on the 20th of August.

What happens next?

Successful applicants will be contacted before the end of August to make all the necessary arrangements. We’ll register you for a 44CON ticket, book your hotel room and send you details for a pre-event meet and greet with some of the lovely 44CON crew, sponsors and speakers.

What if I’m not eligible or don’t get one of the tickets?

Not everyone can apply for an assistance ticket, and we only have 13 Assistance tickets to give away, but don’t despair, find out 5 ways to hack the 44CON ticket pricing model for free or discounted tickets.

Don’t forget that every year the first night of 44CON is a community evening and we release a limited number of tickets that get you in for free. These are usually up for grabs in the few weeks leading up to 44CON. Community ticket holders have full access to 44CON including talks and workshops from 18:00 on Wednesday evening.
