44CONnect March 12th 2020
44CONnect March has been cancelled. 44CON in September will of course still go ahead.
Our Coronavirus planning identified risks at the event that we’re not quite comfortable with. We expected up to 40 people at 44CONnect March. Although the chances of exposure are still small, we realised it’d be better to keep you away from unnecessary risks, even if that means holding off on the free beer and burgers. We’re monitoring the situation as it develops and will take whatever action is needed in the future. The only bugs we want our attendees to get exposure to are digital.
It’s March, which means there’s a 44CONnect on the 12th. Doors open at 19:30, and a little earlier for training attendees. We have a solid line-up as well as a little project we’d like to invite attendees to take part in.
20:00: Quentyn Taylor – RFID Hacking, 2020 Style
The man with the YouTube channel from his excellent shed will talk about RFID and what can be found. Expect a deep dive into MiFare and more, and some practical card cloning examples.
20:45: Steve Lord – Introducing 44CON Newsbeat (alpha)
Steve has a little project that keeps him up to date and saves him 30 minutes a day. He’s looking for victimsalpha testers before we roll out a public beta.
21:00: Leslie Forbes – TBC
Leslie’s going to let us know about his talk when he’s ready, but we’re sure it’ll be a good one.
We’ll also have food, drinks and some other things to play with. If you’ve been on 44CON training in the past 12 months, you should have an invite. If you’d like to come, just contact the usual people.
