The Call For Papers for 44CON 2026 is open.

44CON 2026 will be held 17-18 September 2026 in London.

44CON 2025 was a little bit different to our previous editions and we are continuing with this format. People said they felt the event was more intimate and relaxing with amazing conversations. For those of you that don’t like big white rooms, 44CON is now more a private briefing and discussion event. For this reason, Members of the Press are not welcome to attend 44CON.

We need speakers that are experts in their field that can do a great talk and an amazing workshop.

Our ideal submissions are both

  1. original
  2. accompanied by a workshop.

Our CFP panel are volunteers. In order to value their time, we limit submissions to 2 entries. Ideally

  1. talk
  2. workshop.

The conference will have two tracks: Red-Purple and Purple-Blue. Please indicate on your submission what you see your talk as.

‘Spray and pray’ submissions don’t work.

We don’t want:

  • Talks talking about what other people have found or done.
  • Talks that you have presented elsewhere
  • Talks that are product or service focused (unless it’s how to break the product in a novel way – think 0-day).
  • Your submission should be detailed and succinct enough to give us the confidence that:
    1. you know what you are doing.
    2. you can tell a story about that knowledge with insight and grace.
    3. you are easy to deal with.

Timings for talks in 44CON will be 30 minutes + questions by default. Please indicate if you think a longer slot is needed for your talk, with detail.

Why 30mins? Please cut the fluff at the start and move directly to the key part of your message.

We highly desire workshops that expand and add a practical element or deeper explanation to the talk. It works well with our audience.

We deploy proven air cleaning technologies in every room where attendees gather.

If you submitted a talk in the last three years you will find that your login still works. Note that you can submit for other conferences that we are involved in at the same time, just tick the relevant boxes if that is the case.

Recording Policy

We provide professionally produced videos of 44CON presentations on our private channel shared only with attendees, speakers and sponsors. We no longer release recordings to the public.

Please advise us as early as possible in advance of the conference if your presentation cannot be recorded for any reason.

Talks may be filmed. Workshops are not recorded.

In particular, we are looking for original talks of the highest quality in the following (but not exclusive) areas:

  • Offensive and Defensive Technologies and Techniques
  • LLM and Generative AI technologies.
  • Bugs and Reverse Engineering (finding and fixing)
  • Incident Handling, Forensics and Anti-Forensics
  • Virtualisation, Container and Cloud Computing Security
  • Owning the Enterprise, Infrastructure, Applications, Databases and Client side security
  • Cryptography, Cryptocurrencies, Cryptozoology and other Crypto-fu
  • Embedded/Hardware Hacking and the Internet of Shit(tm)
  • Application and Mobile Security
  • Networking, Comms, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
  • Cyberspace, Policing, Law, Interception and Human Rights

Note: this is not an exhaustive list. If you have what you think is a good talk proposal, please submit it through the CFP system.

Priority is generally given to new presentations over those presented elsewhere. If you have a presentation that you have given or will give elsewhere prior to 44CON 2026 in September and wish to submit, please let us know in your submission, and inform us of any changes you intend to make for 44CON 2026.

If your talk or workshop is new, please let us know the details of other conference(s) to which you have or intend to submit through the CFP system.

Our selection committee tend to favour talks that have:

  • A clearly documented abstract
  • Details of where the talk has been (or will be) given
  • Not been delivered before or
  • Have significant changes to a previously given talk
  • Have an associated workshop (they love this)
  • Links to videos of previously given talks

Obviously the selection committee vote based on what they see, and the above isn’t a guarantee of selection. But your submission will be better received for having the above.

There are 8 reviewers this year, those that wish to make themselves public will do so.

Should a speaker be able to get their travel covered by their employer, we would be very grateful for this as our costs have spiralled in the last few years. If this happens, we will want the employer’s logo and a paragraph about them: we’ll list them as an Event Supporter at the event and on the website and give a discount should they wish to buy attendee tickets.

Accepted secondary presentation speakers and workshop facilitators without an accompanying presentation get the following:

  • Event access for both days and the pre/post event parties.
  • No accommodation nor travel is covered. But we can book a twin room if speakers are prepared to share a room.

We welcome speakers of all genders, origins and physical abilities. If you have any particular requirements please tell us so we can accommodate them. We are a non-alcoholic, Coeliac, Vegan, Kosher, Halal and Gluten-free friendly event. Talks are to be delivered in English, only. Partners are welcome to come along and we’re happy to help arrange for tourist things for you and your partners to do while in London.
Please let us know should you want to do this, so we can make your time memorable.

We have had speakers from the UK, Australia, China, the USA, South Africa, Europe and many more.

Submit your CFP response at the CFP Site https://cfp.44con.com/. Submissions must be in English only.

Please ensure that your home country is specified in your submission, so we know where to fly you in from (if applicable).

Please do not email or message the crew with submissions. They will not be accepted.
